Sunday School
Infant and toddler care and Sunday School classes for Preschool through 6th grade children are offered at both worship services. The workshop rotations model with the PowerXpress curriculum is used for the elementary age children. The Preschool and PreK/Kindergarten classes use Gospel Light’s Movers and Shakers. Sunday School continues in the summer with various curricula used. Sunday School teachers receive training throughout the year and are background checked through Washington State Patrol records.
Kingdom Kids Café
Kingdom Kids Café (10:00 AM Sunday) provides a safe and friendly place for children whose parents are attending classes, visiting at the fellowship time, or serving the church in another capacity between services.
Puppet Ministry
Fourth through sixth grade children meet at 10:00 AM on Sunday to prepare puppet plays to be presented in worship.
Kids Club
Kids Club is a fellowship group for 5th and 6th graders, which meets approximately once a month. The children gather after the second service for lunch, games and discussion, service projects or special events.
Mission & Stewardship
Offering is received each Sunday in Sunday School. Stewardship envelopes are available for the children’s use. Various special projects are supported throughout the year. In the spring the children participate in the One Great Hour of Sharing offering.
Third Grade Bibles
Bibles are given to all third graders in the fall. If your child has not received a Bible, contact Donna Wilson via the church office.
Children and Worship/Children and Communion
Children are always welcome in worship. Four times a year, on a Communion Sunday, all children stay in worship. Every other year a class is held for families to prepare children to receive communion. Written materials are also available to be used at home.
Other Opportunities
Other opportunities for children to participate in the life of the church include Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF at the Harvest Dinner, the Family Advent Workshop, Christmas pageant/program, the Family Easter Party, and Vacation Bible School. Children in 3rd grade and older may be acolytes at the 9 AM service.
